Tartan jacket
An eyecatcher from every angle! An one-of-a-kind jacket in a cropped boxy style with elegant stand collar. The body is a tartan wool with a wild face applique on the back. The sleeves are made of cotton dye samples hand patchworked together with running stitches, in a style inspired by Japanese boro textiles. The applique combines pieces of wool and silk/viscose satin from the same sample dye vats as the cotton sleeves.
 
Details and features include:
- Right over left fastening button front with 5 matching buttons
- Angled front welt pockets
- Body lined in a vintage synthetic lining
- Armholes finished with vintage bias binding from my Great Aunt's sewing supplies
- Small holes in the wool are made into a feature with decorative visible mends
- Stunning applique and handstitching details
